COTTON FOR A BETTER FUTURE
The "Cotton for a Better Future" project, a collaboration between SAN-JFS RESET, Cotton Made in Africa, Cuamba District cotton producers and the government, aims to improve the quality of life in Cuamba and Niassa by addressing challenges such as access limited to water, education, and high levels of illiteracy, especially among women and girls. Focusing on the Khomane primary school, the initiative includes electrification via solar panels, construction of classrooms and sanitary infrastructure, in addition to promoting education through school gardens and a community farm, seeking to reduce school dropouts and illiteracy.
